I usually gave my Mom roses for Valentine’s day, and, in fact, on her last Valentine’s Day of 2012, she awoke from her twilight state to sniff the roses and then slipped away in the early morning hours of Feb 15, 2012. She died wearing a beautiful red nightgown I had bought for her for Valentine’s Day the year before – it was as vibrant on that day as it was when I received it from Amazon.com.
