Mom was almost always cold while sitting in her chair in the living room but, when it came to getting into bed, she loved her cooling mattress pad, topped, of course, with a fluffy down comforter.

Since Mom napped during the day, I made sure to get her very good quality bedding, like that you see below. The cooling mattress pad was key (for both of us) in providing comfort in both summer and winter. Summer kept her cool and, in winter, it kept her warm. This mattress pad is magic!

And, during the winter months, heavy blankets would pin her to the bed so I purchased a lightweight down comforter that worked perfectly in keeping her toast warm. The ultra light comforter also meant that Mom was not restricted when lying in bed. And, when she got up periodically at night, it was very easy for her to straighten the bedding before lying down again.

As a side note, the cooling mattress pad is a great investment for someone going through menopause (ahem) as I can well attest. Prior to buying this bedding, my Tempurpedic mattress would feel like it was broiling!
