Most of those of us over 50 grew up with LIFE magazine. It was, simply put, one of the best quality magazines on the shelves. And, today, any of the below special editions of LIFE magazine would make wonderful gifts for an elderly loved one.
Although these are not large-print magazines, LIFE is full of pictorials so, even if your elderly loved one has waning eye sight, they’ll still enjoy looking through these books. And, they’d enjoy them even more with a companion with whom to discuss the events. So, stick around after they unwrap their present, put on some coffee or tea and prepare for some interesting discussions.

My folks loved the Saturday Evening Post and had a stack of vintage issues. I wonder if that magazine did any compilations like these.

Virginia, we always had the Saturday Evening Post hanging around also. I loved the front covers.
