I well remember sitting in the middle of the living room floor, surrounded by Tinkertoys and Lincoln Log sets. I could be entertained for hours with these types of now, retro toys. Why not make a point of having a family game night and gather around a table with some of these well known, very fun toys of old?
Note: when purchasing one of these retro toy sets with small pieces, consider the manual dexterity in your senior citizen loved one. The last thing you want to do is put some Lincoln Logs in front of him or her and have them get frustrated.
