Dot To Dot Butterflies & Blooms: A Relaxing & Inspirational Dot-To-Dot Colouring BookI’d totally forgotten how much fun connect the dot puzzle books were until I ran across them while looking for some other puzzle books for my Mom. I bought one of the connect the dots book and brought it home just to see if it was still fun – it was!
Mom and I would grab a cup of coffee, head to the balcony, and while away an hour or so connecting the dots. Not only was this activity good for her hands but, it was also challenging mentally as she looked for the next dot in the series. And, let me tell ya, there was always a ‘next dot’ as some of these pictures had 1600 dots! It could take us 2 or 3 days to recognize the underlying picture.
So, here’s some of the nice connect the dots books I’ve found. I really like the Extreme Dot to Dot books as they’re more intricate. Then again, if your elderly loved on has Alzheimer’s or dementia, you might want to start with one of the simpler puzzle books.
Note: Some of these dot to dot puzzle books have pretty small type for the numbers. You might want to consider a full page size magnifying glass or a lamp with magnifying glass to help your elderly loved one read the small font.
