Arthritis Gloves With Copper May Help Relieve Arthritis or Carpal Tunnel Pain
Arthritis can be a crippling pain – I know of what I type as that beautiful hand under mine in the photo above was my 95-year-old Mom’s hand. And, a beautiful hand it was.
But, especially on rainy days, my Mom’s arthritis pain could bring tears to her eyes, and to mine. There’s really nothing worse that watching someone you love so dearly suffer in pain, and you think there’s nothing you can do. But, wait, there may be help – try arthritis gloves with copper.
Arthritis Gloves With Copper May Alleviate Swelling of Arthritic Joints
Not only did my Mom suffer from arthritis pain, but, after years of lifting six-packs (she and Dad owned a bar in College Park, MD), she had carpal tunnel also. One of the things that really helped her were arthritis gloves with copper.
The idea of using copper to fight arthritis is an old one. Copper in compression gloves is rumored to help fight arthritis pain (particularly rheumatoid arthritis) by placing the mineral close to the body. This allows the body, supposedly, to absorb the copper through the skin so that inflammation and pain are relieved. Now, this is a theory only but, really, what can it hurt to try?
Note: arthritis gloves appear to be a pretty personal item so we went through a lot of types before finding just the right glove for my Mom. Be prepared. It might take a few tries to find the glove that works for your loved one. My Mom most liked the first link below – these gloves feel sort of silky and are of light compression. Now that Mom is gone, I sometimes will slip on her glove to alleviate my own arthritic thumb.
