The Original Christmas Classics Gift SetClassic Christmas Specials May Help Bring Some Holiday Spirit Into The Lives Of Our Elderly Loved Ones
It’s no secret that the Christmas and Chanukah holiday seasons can bring sorrow and depression to some folks.
This might be especially true of our elderly loved ones who might remember happier holiday seasons when their family and friends gathered by their side in their own homes.
But, times do change and the best we younger folks can do is to bring as much Christmas cheer and spirit into our senior friends’ lives as we can – one way of which is to give a gift of a stocking stuffer of classic Christmas specials.
When Mom was living with me, I always had Christmas tunes playing on my Amazon Echo (a wonderful present for young and old, by the way). After all, who can be sad when ‘Frosty The Snowman’ or ‘Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer’ is playing in the background?
Classic Christmas specials may also cheer up the lives of our senior citizen friends. Just seeing the Ed Sullivan Christmas special show with guests Bing Crosby and Connie Francis is sure to bring back some warm memories. And, who can be sad when watching Dean Martin light up the stage?
So, light a fire (only if your elderly loved on is NOT on oxygen!), put some flameless Christmas candles on the table, and maybe serve up a small glass of eggnog. Invite the friends and family to share in the viewing fun. This is a great way to share some quality time with your elderly loved one.
Classic Christmas Specials On Amazon.Com
Any of the below classic Chrismas specials is sure to delight your elderly loved one. And, if they have trouble hearing the TV, how about purchasing a pair of TV Ears? My Mom (and I) loved the things as the TV volume wasn’t blasting me out of the house while she could hear it loud and clear!
