What Better Way To Love On Grandpa This Valentine’s Day Then To Wrap Him In A Cozy, Soft Red Flannel Shirt?

I was a bit dismayed when I started to think of items for Valentine’s Day for men as there just aren’t a lot of choices. And then I remembered the year I gave my Dad a really nice red flannel shirt.

Although my folks lived in Arizona during the winter, my Dad was constantly chilled in the early mornings or late evenings. It was too warm for a jacket but just right for a flannel shirt. At 7 pm, he could usually be found with his feet up on the patio, small cocktail in hand, wrapped in his red flannel shirt.

And, now that Dad is gone? That red flannel shirt is one of my prized possessions; on nights when I miss him the most, I’ll curl up inside the very shirt Dad loved so much and remember the feeling of his arms around me.

So, a Valentine’s Day present of a flannel shirt for your elderly loved one is a present today that you might cherish beyond belief in the, hopefully, way distant future.
