Although I have a few different coloring book articles on this website, someone mentioned to me recently that it would be nice to have some simpler big print coloring books for adults.

Coloring may be a wonderfully soothing activity, but regular coloring books frequently usually have too many details on the page.

And, too many details can lead to frustration to those who might have memory issues (like Alzheimer’s or dementia) or even for those who have problems holding a crayon or coloring pencil due to arthritis.

Coloring should be fun.

The simple coloring books for adults that I’m going to show you below are very simple in pattern, yet very beautiful when completed.

I think it’s a great idea to mount Grandma’s finished coloring pages and give them as gifts to the next generation. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!

Large Crayons

Large crayons aren’t just for kids! Arthritic hands can more easily grip a larger crayon.

As always, when giving large crayon to an elderly loved one, you might consider taking them out of the original childish package and put them in a nice pencil box.
