The Half Step Stair Climbing Cane Is Perfect For Those Folks Needing Some Help Stepping Up Or Stepping Down
I just discovered the half step stair climbing cane this morning but, I sure wish I’d known of it when I was caring for my elderly Mom, Gertie.
Mom would have loved the fact that she didn’t have to tackle a full step at once. She could have just placed this cane right by the stair, taken a half step up, and another half step up to climb what seemed to Mom to be Mt. Everest!
Most stairs are right around 7″ tall. My Mom’s arthritic knees and hips restricted how much she could lift her foot. Our solution was a stair chair that would ferry her from the 1st floor to the 2nd and back.
But, this half step stair climbing cane would have been just perfect for those times when we were out of the house and she needed a little help.
With a height of 3.5″ (about half of a standard stair), climbing a few stairs wouldn’t have been an issue. And, coming in at just 2 lbs means that the half step climbing cane is portable and light enough for daily use.
