Crochet Tools For Senior Citizens Accommodate Those With Waning Eyesight and Arthritic Hands

I started crocheting 7 weeks ago as a way to stay out of the refrigerator during Covid-19 isolation. And, all went well until the second day when my arthritic thumb said ‘sorry, sistah…no more.’

So, I took to the internet to find a plethora of crochet tools for senior citizens; these are crochet hooks, lights, etc that are adapted specifically for those of a certain age who might have issues with working with yarn.

And, I’ve added them to this post in the hopes that it might help those of you who are into crochet.

Some of the items, like lighted crochet hooks (!) were totally new to me, and I hope they are to you too.

Ergonomic Crochet Hooks For Senior Citizens Relieve Arthritic Hand Pain

These ergonomic crochet hooks take into account those of us who have aching hands, or swollen knuckles from arthritis.

Typically, the handle of these ergonomic hooks are soft and spongy, which is what I prefer. Some though are a harder plastic which still is ok, just not my favorite crochet hook.
