When I was looking for ways to keep Mom entertained, I sort of ran out of ideas until I was perusing a local Michael’s craft store and ran across coloring books! It was like a lightbulb went off over head.

I loaded up with the most mature coloring books I could find (no Disney characters allowed) and, surprisingly, I found some outstanding choices like the ones you see below. I also found some very fun color by number kits which I blogged about (you’ll got to them if you click that link).

I bought Mom a new box of crayons (everyone should have a new box of crayons) and we were off and running. I still have some of her colored pictures in a keepsake box. They’re quite lovely.
